In one of our labs, we have a DEC Alpha running Red Hat
Linux 4.1 and a DEC Alpha running Red Hat Linux 4.2,
with all applicable Red Hat errata applied.
On occasion, the console shows some messages such as
the following: ([hex] = some hexadecimal number)
Brcp: arithmetic trap at [hex]: 02 [hex]
alpha_fp_emul: unexpected function code 0x33 at [hex]
ypbind: arithmetic trap at [hex]: 21 [hex]
What's wrong here and how do I fix it?
BTW, Brcp is a program we're using in the lab for research
that we've compiled ourselves.
