Is there a reason to keep boot partition's blocksize at 1024?
I tried to make a new boot partition with 4096 but MILO doesn't
show anything on it (ls sda3 at milo prompt gives nothing).
I also tried to boot, but it was interrupted quite soon (quite
obvious if it really is unable to read from a non-standard
filesystem).
I can access those files easily when I mount it manually
somewhere so basicly it works.
Has anyone made any real tests with different blocksizes?
Is there any need to change it (to gain better speed, of course)?
I ran a test with bonnie on that new partition and I think it was
a bit faster than earlier, but as I hadn't saved earlier tests
I cannot quite compare. And currently I don't have enough free
space to run tests again on another partition.
