Hmm, will it really work with two SIMMs? My XL300 has two banks
of four SIMM slots. Although I must say that the manual is a bit
crazy about that. Mine (printed on September 1996) has these
statements (on page 4-4):
- "You can increase your model 5 system's memory up to 512 MB."
- Then, it continues with "You can add 32-MB, 64-MB, or 128-MB options."
* Question: How will one get 512MB with those options (just two banks,
so two times 128MB should be the maximum in that sense)?

- And then it goes even weirder: "These memory options are groups
of _four_ SIMMs" but soon "a 32-MB option consisting of _two_
16-MB SIMMs, a 64-MB options ... of _two_ 32-MB SIMMs". But it
still says a few lines later "SIMMs are _always_ added as groups
of four into the available memory bank."

Oh well, has anyone put 4 16MB SIMMs to get 64MB more (in addition
to the original 4 8MB SIMMs)? I was about to do that tomorrow.
Will it kill my XL300 or do I get 96MB in total?
