(Do those numbers actually mean anything to mortal humans?)
Can anyone shed some insight to this problem? I'm very new to the Alpha
scene (2 days), and so I freely admit I'm a bit clueless on the subject.
I'm using GCC 2.7.2.1 which I believe is the latest, and the current
kernel is 2.0.30 (the avanti image from the RedHat disk).
On a different problem ... I downloaded the latest AlphaStation 200 milo
image from gatekeeper but it doesn't detect my SCSI drives. I was able
to do the RedHat install (since I booted from a kernel on floppy which
did detect SCSI), but I can't boot directly from the drive. (This is why
I need to compile the kernel -- so I could compile a custom milo in the
hopes that it would then detect the SCSI devices).
Thanks,
