Hello:

I am trying to compile kernel 2.0.18 on my UDB166 currently running RH 3.03.

I have edited /usr/src/linux/Makefile to:

ARCH = alpha

...when I go to 'make menuconfig' I get the following error:

make: *** arch/alpha: Is a directory. Stop.

What else do I need to edit to make this fly ?

Thanks in advance... David

(also occurs with 'make mrproper', 'make clean', 'make ____'
