One more PPP thing: Network Configurator doesn't quote the send-expect
sequences, so when the file
"/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0" gets evaluated, special
modem command characters like "&" are interpreted as shell programming
constructs instead of literals. E.g., my modem init string
(INITSTRING in ifcfg-ppp0) is "AT&FM0L0", and, until I surrounded the
init string with double quotes, I'd get an error on start up with
ifcfg complaining about not being able to find the command FM0L0.
