Well, I know what at is for. That it runs an at command every minute. So
that you can start a process from a specific time... But, yes, it's a
solution and quick & dirty. I'd like to know if there's anyone else who
might have an ideas what's causing these errors. Does there need to be a
file in the /var/spool/at directory? There is a ".lockfile" and a
"spool" directory.

Hmm, I couldn't be more happy to know this is a normal thing. *ahem*...
I wouldn't really mind if the errors are put in the logfile, but I get
it on screen too! Is there any fix to this?

I'm getting used to the Alpha, but sometimes I feel like grabbing a
hammer........
