xmcd

I am in the process of trying to get the OSF/1 bin for xmcd to run, (haven't
had a chance to compile motif for AXP linux yet to re-make it myself) and I
have it loading, displaying and it gives me the error /dev/cdrom is not the
correct special device type. The device does however work, so under Linux it
is the correct device. Does OSF/1 treat CD's differently and is there any way
to get this working?
