After having read some of the posts here on performance and the
alpha architecture, I am thinking that 256K of cache is not enough.

Has anyone upgraded to say 512K or 1M, and if so:

What kind of cache memory is needed?

How much is it?

Is it difficult to install?

and the real question: Did you notice a speedup running linux?
