I too am considering purchasing one. A salesman from DCG Computers
told me (last week) that his company sells one with Linux pre-installed,
(RedHat) so I assume that it can be done!!!

This is, of course, the big question, and my answer is "I doubt it".
I'm hoping that GCC does _pretty_well_, and I am _expecting_ to have
to buy a commercial compiler for fortran.
