lots of unaligned traps running squid...

has anyone fixed squid sources to get rid of unaligned traps?
also how exactly can I locate the lines in sources which
cause such illegal pointer assignements or so. Could it be done
with gdb? I've already read arch/alpha/kernel/traps.c etc.
till my brains dumped core ;)
