although i haven't actually tried it yet, i suspect that insmod-bfd
will break horribly with the 2.1.8+ kernels. while i haven't really
had time to delve into the secret intricacies of the 2.1.8 insmod, it
looks like it should be possible to bfdize the 2.1.8 insmod.

the current code deals a little too intimately with elf and aout
formats for me to figure out what it's actually doing. does anyone
have a specification for what insmod really needs to do and what it's
looking for in a module? if i had that, i don't think it would take
that long for me to re-write insmod to use the bfd library.
