Hi, All,

I install many the package of RHS 4.0. Some of the pachages, when
upgrading (from 3.0.3), displayed some messege, but I force the installation
using --nodeps and --replacefile. Still I saw the messege like
/sbin/ldconfig can't be execute, etc. When I tried to reboot the
machine, I get many error, most importantly,

VFS: mounted root (ext2) file-system READ-ONLY.

next, many messeges displayed, but it goes too fast, the last screen is:

Initializing random number generatror ...
/etc/rc.d/init/random: touch: command not found
INIT: entering runlevel: 3
starting gpm mouse service, /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S85GPM:
basename: command not found
/etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S85gpm: touch: command not found
uname: error in loading shared libraries
libdl.so.2: can't open shared objective file: no such file or directory.
/etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S99local: read-only file system
.
.
.
INIT: ld "1" respawning too fast, disabled for 5 minutes
"3"
"4"
"5"
"2"
"6"
no more process left in this runlevel.

after a long time, the last few lines repeats.

What's going on? How to correct this problem? The Guide says I can login
in single user mode (linux 1), but it is not explained explicitly.

Thanks in advance.
