2.0.24 (Avanti) dies ( apecs_machine_check )

During the last 2 days, i observed several system lockups
with 2.0.24 on my Avanti, everytime the last message written
to the console was something like :

After this, the following 4 lines are repeated about one time
per second to the console, and the machine doesn't respond
to anything but reset.
