Hi Fude... if it helps, I got this message when the power supply in my
external hard drive case died-- it contained my default boot partition.
>From this experience, I suspect it gives that error if there is a device
or partition referenced in the boot selections that the firmware can't
locate in its bus scan. (Sound right folks?)

I've since replaced the offending shoebox ;-)
