Hello there,

I have an Alpha Server 1000 (Mikasa) with an DEC 21140 Tulip card:
tulip.c:v0.10 8/11/95 becker@...
+0.72 4/17/96 http://www....
eth0: DE500 (DEC 21140 Tulip) at 0xb000, 00:00:f8:30:28:49, IRQ 24

the card works fine with 10MBit, but doesn't do anything if i want to use
it in 100MBit mode. The kernel reports:
eth0: enabling 100TX port.

but i can't ping any machine from the Alpha, nor can i ping the Alpha
from somewhere else. Is this supposed to work at all, or is this a known
problem, or can anyone help me :)

TIA,
Tom

PS: the card works just fine under Digital Unix, so I think it's not a hardware
or hub problem.

It's only cheating, if you get caught
