Installing Linux at Alphastation 255

Hi all,

I try to install Linux on an alphastation 255. So I first want to boot
a floppy from SRM. The only working floppy is the p2000. All other
hang after
..jumping to bootstrap code
The p2000 runs to

aboot: ok, now starting the kernel

internal error, invalid method
halted CPU 0
halt code = 6
double error halt
PC=14400

I tried some other kernels (XL and an older "avanti" kernel) with
this bootfloppy with exactly the same results. Any hint ?
