'quickstrip' & milo-2.0.8

Alpha-meisters,

I earlier recounted my difficulties with the 2.0.8 kernel, modules
& kerneld. I decided to just compile a kernel without using modules, just
to get something running (we have 128M RAM, so modules won't make too much
difference in terms of memory).
So, I got a new kernel compiled, but Milo seemed to be having
trouble loading it. The Milo on this system is version 1.3.7X, so I
figured I need the latest Milo. I grabbed milo-2.0.8.tar.gz and am mow
attempting to compile it. The problem I'm running into now is that the
Makefile depends on 'quickstrip' which doesn't seem to exist on my system.
I tried to change the "QUICKSTRIP = quickstrip" line to "QUICKSTRIP =
strip" thinking that might work, but no dice.
Where might I find 'quickstrip'? Is there another way around this
obstacle? Are the precompiled milo binaries version 2.0.8?
I'm trying to get it to work using 'strip' from binutils and
hoping it's compatable, but I'm not sure.

Scott D. Webster I had far rather walk, as I do, in daily terror
Senior, Computer Science of eternity, than feel that this was only a
William Paterson College children's game in which all of the contestants
http://www.wilpaterson.edu would get equally worthless prizes in the end.
