I salvaged an old Sanyo 2-Speed from my '386 box, and the UDB likes it just
fine. I don't believe Linux is too fussy at that level (a SCSI device is a scsi
device...)

I like those $17 bargain CD's. But I know they're usually older versions of
stuff. Don't mess around on your initial AXP disk, and buy from RedHat or
Craftworks. Once you're up and purring, you can play with the older CD's to
hearts content. . .
