Telnet DNS problems

I've recently upgraded to a new version of both the kernel (1.3.68)
and MILO. Telnet, oddly enough, now fails to work properly. It always
attempts to open a connection to 255.255.255.255, rather than the appropriate
address. I would assume that something was wrong with my DNS stuff, except
that finger and ping both still work. Any suggestions?
