I have an XL266 and I wrote Milo, the milo that's on gatekeeper now
in test-images/XL works just fine for me. However, I've been in conversation with someone with exactly your problem. That means that there _is_ a problem butthat I cannot fix it as I cannot see it. Milo's floppy handling used to
be a little ga-ga but that's been fixed a long time. If you haven't tried
the XL image in /test-images then could you try it and let me know how it
goes?

As for which OS is best, I leave that to the network to say.
However, Linux is worth trying.
