Hi,
I'm new in this mailing list so i beg your pardon if my questions or
problems are obsolete or seems a little strange.

I purchased a Digital Alpha XL 266 to use as a internet server, i.e. a WWW
server and a FTP server as well as a Dial-in server for incoming call over
telephone line and a DNS server.
Which operating system is better to install ??
Dec-Unix, Linux-Alpha or WindowsNT ??
I tried to install Linux-Alpha but the MILO that cames with the BLADE_03 or
the RedHat 2.1 distribution didn't works. So I downloaded a new MILO for XL
from the Digital ftp site (ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Linux-Alpha/Miniloader)
but also this didn't works; after had MILO loaded if I typed a 'ls fd0' on a
disk written in a ext2 format (which contain the Linux kernel) I had this
error messages: 'bad magic 0xaccd'.
So there is a MILO for XL 266 that works ??
Anyone installed Linux-Alpha on a XL 266, and which distribution ??

However for a internet server with those features what are the best ??

Thanks in advance
