Those of you who have tried to get g77 running on your platform
probably remember being greeted by the following, slightly repugnant
message:
f771: warning: configuration: REAL, INTEGER, and LOGICAL are 32
bits wide,
f771: warning: and pointers are 64 bits wide, but g77 doesn't yet
work right
f771: warning: unless they all are 32 bits wide.
f771: warning: Please keep this in mind before you report bugs.
g77 should
f771: warning: support non-32-bit machines better as of version 0.6.
We (the g77-bug team) hope to track down the bugs that caused this
advisory to be build into g77.
So, if you'd like to run Real World programs (as opposed to games
:-) on your DEC Alpha and you think you've been hit by a compiler
problem, please try our support ! It's free, and worth every cent
you pay for it (first one to identify this quote wins a free e-mail
message :-)
Cheers,
