I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my questions concerning "how to upgrade" RedHat Linux.

Per Erik's suggestion I simply copied the upgrade script from the top of the 386 cdrom and ran it. It was a little scary to watch run (lots of warning messages flashing by) but it ran without a hitch and everything looks great. As someone correctly mentioned earlier, the ability to upgrade an operating system like the commercial UNIX systems do is a wonderful feature...
