Funny you should mention it. Haven't tried Maelstrom recently, but I
noticed exactly the same behavior with the xgalaga that comes with Red
Hat 2.1. I always thought it was it wasn't kernel related since each
time I tried the old binary, it seemed to work fine. But just now I
tried the old xgal binary on a 1.3.62 kernel and sure enough it showed
the same staggering behavior. The funny thing is that the problem
doesn't always show, as far as I can tell.

Yes, they're on azstarnet in the misc directory (or should be, haven't
checked recently).
