I posted a few days ago about a replacement VGA card for
the Multia, and got several responses. Unfortunately, I couldn't
find a Stealth 64 (seems every local place was cleaned out for Xmas),
so I bought an STB 64 (S3Trio64V+), which I have had some experience
with on the DOS side of things. The Multia comes up fine with the
card in it, but as soon as I start to load MILO, the screen flickers
a few times, then goes blank... and there is no further disk activity.
I have compiled a TGA-less kernel, which, when I remove the STB S3
card, boots (tho' I can't see anything on the TGA)... so I don't think
I'm even getting to point of booting Linux.
Any ideas? any chance that older Milos (I don't have the most recent)
can't deal w/ this card? Any successes w/ the card?
Thanks for your thoughts,
John Ray
