Help: Building a 4.0 kernel

I rebuilt my 3.0.3 kernel many times, but I'm having trouble with 4.0.
I reloaded my udb from scratch with 4.0 from a CDROM. The machine
boots fine with the supplied kernel. The kernel build process appears
to work just fine. But when I go to boot the new kernel, I get:

Expected 1, not 2 program headers

after MILO (2.0.25) reads the kernel image and then MILO says:

Failed to load the kernel

and I'm back at the MILO prompt.

I looked through the archives and nothing jumped out at me. What am I
missing?

Mark
