The PC164 can be jumpered for 1 or 2 Mb of L3 cache; the cache chips are
surface mount, so it's not something you can change easily... :-)

There's a new machine, internal name MIATA, that was shown at COMDEX;
it can have 2 or 4 Mb of synchronous SRAM L3 cache. Also, it will be
able to handle upto 1.5 Gb of synchronous DRAM (SDRAM?) memory when
the larger parts become available (for now, 384Mb is tops). IIRC, this
is in the form of DIMMs, and there are 4 DIMM slots.
BTW, with a "cooler" installed, they had one running at 767MHz, but I wasn't
given the chance to determine the BogoMIPS... :-) :-) :-)

At COMDEX, Aspen Systems (aspsys.com) was showing (not running) a dual
500MHz, small, server-style box, 4 cache SIMM slots per CPU (upto 16Mb!!)
