Are you sure? I've used it successfully --I mean the BLADE_0.3
/usr/sbin/sendmail dated Nov 10, 1995 and 581,632 bytes long--, this for
sending mail to/receiving mail from local users (I did not tried more).
However, I changed and rebuilt the
sendmail config. prior to make my experiments, so have a look on it (the
original conf. is perhaps ok, and perhaps built/installed).
Perhpas also of help: I used a locally-compiled version of "elm" to write/read
the mails; I found a bug in BLADE_0.3 getegid(2) libc function, which should
be fixed in a more recent libc: cf. the exchange of mail on this topic at
~Feb'96 [on axp-list@redhat.com] ; the workaround I used is also indicated.
Good luck,
fred
