Ik heb op mijn Alpha een vergelijkbaar probleem gehad bij het wisselen van
console modes: Na wisselen van console mode hing het systeem. Bij mij was de
oorzaak de (meegeleverde, oorspronkelijke - Digital) video kaart. Na
(tijdelijk) wisselen van de video kaart (-> matrox milenium II) kwam alles
wel weer normaal op. Een nieuwer BIOS loste ruim 1 jaar geleden het probleem
(nog) niet op.

Hi
I just tried to switch my multia from SRM to the ARC console,
but it hangs while "setting up console mode"
It looks like "bit rot" in the firmware. (It had been powered off for a
while...)
I guess I need to restore the firmware ,by booting into a failsafe floppy
and flashing things again.
(Or is there a way to have the system come up in SRM , without trying to
start the ARC ?)
Anyway , I'm looking for these floppies. Does anyone know where I can find
this ?
Or have them around ?
