Subject: [Axp-hardware] Adaptec PCI HBA unrecognized from SRM?

Sorry for all the three letter acronyms (TLA's 8)

I am setting up AlphaLinux for the first time (Cabrio / PC64) but am
running into a strange thing . . . my Adaptec (1920, 2920?) HBA is not
recognized by the recently flashed SRM code, but is recognized by the ARC
console. (ARC can even see the disks . . .)
The SRM version is showing as "V4.8-1 Feb 20 1997 14:29:41"
Strangely, and possibly related, the Compaq/Digital Adaptec
Configuration utility reports that there is no Adaptec PCI controllers in
the system.

">>>show dev" is reporting only the floppy.

Obviously, I'm trying to boot the new JumpStart cd image. I have
both internal and external SCSI cdroms attached to

        Any thoughts?

The geographical center of Boston is in Roxbury. Due north of
the center we find the South End. This is not to be confused with South
Boston which lies directly east from the South End. North of the South
End is East Boston and southwest of East Boston is the North End.
